Mr. Burke started the law firm of James J. Burke & Associates in 2001. The firm has always been in Hoboken, New Jersey. Mr. Burke’s practice focuses on land use, commercial and residential real estate, public offering statements for residential condominiums, commercial and construction financing and trusts and estates.

 He received his B.A. and a M.A. from the George Washington University and his J.D. from Seton Hall University Law School. He is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association. He was admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York in 1986. He is inactive in New York. He was an associate at Donovan Leisure Newton and Irvine and, prior to the practice of law, worked for the U.S. Congress and the National Center For Municipal Development, which was a subsidiary of the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
